Thanks to my “Go To” beer distributor, Ambler Beverage Exchange, I was able to get my hands on this fresh, delicious case of Stone’s Go To IPA, a session IPA that is raising a lot of eyebrows. Are big beers falling out of favor? Maybe, maybe not. But this 4.5% flavorful IPA just released this month is definitely giving them a run for their money! Check out BeerGeekNation’s review of it here.
To celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, I opened a bottle of Brewery Ommegang’s Fire & Blood Red Ale, their newest Game of Thrones inspired beer. While it’s not an irish style beer, the red ale got me my Untappd St. Patty’s Day 2014 badge. The Fire & Blood Red Ale is, as all of Brewery Ommegang’s creations, a finely crafted brew. Brewed with ancho chiles, it gives the brew a subtle kick in the end. It will be available nationwide on March 31 – so look for it! And look for my article on it in the April issue of the Mid-Atlantic Brewing News.
